From way back, the Connemara is famous because of its jumping-abilities, but it turns out that this breed can be used in all kinds of sports. You can find a Connemara at the top of almost every discipline. The European Championships demonstrate this very well: several country-teams have Connemara ponies in their teams. In The Netherlands especially the Three Day Eventing Team often has Connemara ponies in their ranks. Van de Arenbosch Rodger, Hatatitla van de Leliaard en Future van de Kiboets have competed at the European Championships Eventing in the past years.

But Connemara's can do show jumping and dressage too. Ashfield Silver Ghost is having a great show jumping career with his rider Brigitte Smits. They are very high classified and joining national competition.

More uncommon disciplines have already heard of the Connemara pony. Dun Alice has competed in the highest class of Endurance. She is in Holland one of the two ponies that completed 160 kilometers in one day. First van de Kiboets is performing very well in driving. She has been national champion driving in the cones.

And even at Western Riding you can use a Connemara's. They like it, they manage to do it okay, but they haven't reached the top (yet?).

As you can see: the Connemara is able to turn it's hand to anything!
